Hello

My name is Michelle Bray and I started my journey as a Military Compensation Advocate in 2017.

I achieved a Level 2 ATDP Military Compensation qualification while I was employed by a Sub-Branch RSL.

In 2024, I started my own business advocating for veterans nationally.

My Story

I joined the Australian regular Army in September 1992. On the completion of basic training, I went to the School of Signals to complete Initial employment training as a Keyboard Operator. From IET school I was posted to 1Sig Regt in1993, with a 2nd posting to HQ Northern Command Darwin 1995. I was medically discharged in November 1997. I had a very bad transition out of service and once I was discharged, I instantly felt a loss of support and I found myself floundering not knowing what was next. In 1998 I was advised by an advocate that I had not received the correct entitlements for being medically discharged, through their guidance and support I obtained my correct entitlement. This was a turning point for me, and I always vowed that at some point I wanted to become an advocate and provide assistance and support to fellow comrades with their compensation claims. In 2017, I started my journey as a Military Compensation Advocate.
